Do you provide tax receipts for the donated clothing?
No, AmeriServe USA LLC is a For-Profit, textile recycling business. All charitable donation receipts, if applicable, are provided by the organization hosting the clothing collection.
How are the collected clothing recycled?
The collected clothing is processed by a grading factory. The rewearable clothing is sold to second hand stores and sent to second and third world countries. Any other items are processed as wiping cloths and recycled as textile fiber.
Do you provide storage containers for the clothing drive?
No, we will send our truck to pick up your collection. In advance, we will schedule a time and place with you for pick up of your clothing collection. Please keep all clothing dry prior to pick up.
Are there any costs to us?
No, other than getting the word out to your supporters and the community, there are No costs to you. You will need to provide volunteers to help load the truck on the scheduled pick up day.
What kind of items are you buying and how do you pay?
We pay by the pound. We are looking to buy the following:
Clean wearable clothing (all seasons) for Men, Women, and Children. (No tears or stains) Shoes (paired, please), purses, belts, hats, scarves, sheets, blankets, tablecloths, and towels.

Charities play a crucial role in the success of the industry, collecting clothing that might otherwise be headed to a landfill.
